Time Standards
AGE GROUP TIME STANDARDS
Time standards and age determine the type of meet in which a swimmer may participate.  Championship meet time standards are updated annually. 

  • 2009-2012 National Age Group Motivational Times  National Age Group Motivational Times are, in successively faster levels: B, BB, A, AA, AAA, AAAA, and NRT Top-10 (National Reportable Times). Times meeting the NRT Top-10 standards are submitted to the National swimming bodies for ranking.  Motivational times are for ages 10&Under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18.

  • Junior Olympics Championship (JO's) has time standards that are slower than STAGS or Senior Champ times.  Competing age groups are 8&Under, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15-18.



  • 2010 TAGS Championship Times  Texas Age Group Swimming (TAGS) is the state championship meet for 14&Under.  Competing age groups are 10&Under, 11, 12, 13, and 14.


SENIOR GROUP TIME STANDARDS
Time standards determine the type of meet in which a swimmer may participate.  These standards are updated annually.  Senior group time standards are, in successively faster levels: Sectionals, Junior Nationals, Nationals, US Open, and Olympic Trials.
